Fruits and Vegetables at the Market
Welcome to Unit 4! When shopping at an open-air market in Italy, knowing your produce is essential. In Italian, most singular masculine nouns end in -o, feminine nouns end in -a, and plural forms change accordingly.
Key Vocabulary Rules
- Masculine singular: il pomodoro (the tomato)
- Feminine singular: la mela (the apple)
- Plural masculine: i pomodori (the tomatoes)
