Unit 1 Review: First Meetings

Welcome to your Unit 1 Review! In this lesson, we will practice everything you’ve learned so far about meeting people in Italian.

1. Greetings & Farewells

2. Introductions & Names

Use Mi chiamo to say your name, and Piacere to say ‘Nice to meet you’.

3. Origins

To say where you are from, use Sono di plus the city or country, or Vengo da.

Common Mistakes

Don’t confuse Buongiorno (Good morning) with Buonanotte (Good night)! Remember that Ciao is informal and shouldn’t be used with strangers or teachers.
